Wondra Construction’s methodical use of GPS-controlled grading equipment, now a requirement in wetland restoration projects, let the project team effectively adapt to the challenges of the 1,600-acre Bark River WRP Restoration, which involved moving 240,000 cubic yards of earth and searching for and removing 13.9 miles of drain tile. With the wet weather, the river next to the project was 2 feet higher than the project site. Using a detailed and coordinated grading plan, the project team reached completion on time while adding seven work-plan modifications.
