Hartford Mill Pond Bulkhead Replacement – Hartford, WI

2015

The Hartford Mill Pond Bulkhead Replacement Project consisted of replacing 1,000 feet of old timber walls with 2,000-lb. retaining wall blocks and installing 7,000 tons of field stone riprap. To keep the work area in an active river bottom dry, Wondra coordinated closely with an upstream dam for Pike Lake. The erosion control and draw down of the pond required a very detailed work plan to satisfy DNR requirements. All work was performed from the river bottom due to limited access from above. Wondra worked closely with the City of Hartford to create an aesthetically pleasing project in a safe, efficient manner.
